It’s okay not to be okay is a popular south korean drama that aired in 20 June 2020 and the final episode released in 9 August 2020. This series has gained a huge popularities nationally as well as internationally. This is a romantic comedy drama starring Seo Yea-ji and Kim Soo-hyun in the main lead as Ko Moon-young and Moon Gang-tae.

In this drama Ko Moon-young a talented but emotionally distant children’s book writer with a sharp tongue and prickly personality who struggles to make a genuine connection with people becomes fascinated by Moon Gang-tae who is a kind and selfless caretaker working at a psychiatric hospital. Because of his childhood tragedy, he prioritizes caring his older brother Moon Sang-tae who has autism. Due to his high responsibility, Gang-tae also struggles to build a close relationship or pursue his own happiness.

As the story continues they both embark on a journey of self discovery and emotional healing. They both becomes each others comfort zone and also Gang-tae learnes to prioritize his own needs while taking care of his brother. 

This series explores themes of forgiveness, overcoming trouma and the importance of human connection.
